This tutorial has been presented to the third Community Christmas Competition organized by József Nagy : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8pqDtT7dgs&t=294s. The tutorial shows the numerical modeling of a pitot tube with OpenFOAM.

  • The tutorial uses the simpleFoam solver.

Prerequisites/Information:

  • OpenFOAM®: Tested on versions 1812+.

  • The tutorial is designed to run on 10 cores but can be easily modified to be run on the number of core chosen by the user.
  • 16Gb of RAM.
  • The mesh can be reduced by changing blockMeshDict settings.
  • Paraview (post-processing).
